Villa Lönndal is a small family-owned hotel in the heart of Grundsund, an authentic fishing community on the island of Skaftö way out in the west coast archipelago in beautiful Bohuslän with its cliffs and skerries. It is a place where you can relax and enjoy the salty tang of the sea air and watch fishing boats coming home with their catch. Many of the rooms have views over the south harbour and boatlife. You are close to everything and once you have parked your car, you won’t need it any more. In principle, everything in Grundsund is no more than a 10-minute walk away. Opposite the hotel is Krögens, a restaurant with a menu inspired by all the wonderful local seafood. Krögens also has a fish counter where you can buy fresh fish and shellfish plus delicious locally made sauces and dishes. Grundsund also has two other renowned restaurants, Smultron & Tång, plus Pelles Rökeri, on either side of the Grundsund canal. Don’t forget to book a table. You are spoilt for choice when it comes to activities. In addition to swimming, there are various walking and cycle trails, guided tours, golf, and you can hire a kayak, boat, SUP, jet ski etc.
